Responsibilities

• Serve as patient advocate during exams and treatment.
• Interview patients to obtain medical information and vitals.
• Prepare patients for physician and procedures, and assist as needed.
• Record patients' medical histories, medications, allergies, and test results.
• Prepare and administer medications under physician direction.
• Collect specimens and prepare them for testing.
• Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, wound care instructions and physicians' instructions to patients.
• Assist physician during procedures and maintain sterile field.
• Schedule appointments for patients.
• Greet patients and coordinate with facilities.
