Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care under provider supervision, including vitals, history taking, and health maintenance. You will perform point of care testing and assist with procedures while also delivering essential administrative support such as scheduling and referrals.

The role may involve floating to other Hartford HealthCare offices based on needs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification.
• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association within 3 months of hire date.
• All required credentials maintained throughout employment.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under provider direction, including vitals, screenings, patient history and health maintenance.
• Perform point of care testing with quality control and documentation.
• Assist providers with in-house procedures and other treatments as assigned.
• Provide administrative support (scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check-in/out, authorizations) and cover front desk when needed.
• Float to other Hartford HealthCare offices based on business needs.
