Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under provider supervision. You will take vitals, document patient information, assist with screenings and health maintenance, and help with front desk tasks as needed.

Additionally, you will conduct indirect duties such as scheduling, chart prep and prior authorizations, and may float to other offices. EPIC EMR experience is preferred; training is provided within a team-focused, compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program or CT certification.
• Certification (CNA/EMT/Paramedic) accepted for qualification.
• Relevant experience may substitute education as noted.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under provider supervision (vitals, history, screenings).
• Handle scheduling, check-in/out, referrals, chart prep and prior authorizations.
• Perform point-of-care testing with quality control and documentation.
• Cover front desk duties and float to other offices as needed.

Education

Diploma from accredited Medical Assistant program
