Beth Israel Lahey Health seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinical operations and patient flow in a busy practice. You will assist with basic patient care, vitals, phlebotomy, and routine procedures, while helping with scheduling and front-desk tasks.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED and 0–1 year of experience, with PM/EMR familiarity; a MA/EMT/CNA/LNA certificate is preferred. Vaccination against influenza is required.

Competenze

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate simple web-based applications.
• MA, EMT, CNA, LNA certificate or diploma; or at least 5 months direct patient care experience in clinical or research setting.

Mansioni

• Performs medical assisting duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and assisting during routine procedures.
• Performs point-of-care testing and provides instructions for tests.
• Monitors and maintains medical equipment and supplies, ensuring sterility and stock.
• Reviews medication lists in EMR for final review by licensed practitioners; may retrieve schedule VI and OTC meds only under supervision.
• Uses EMR to queue prescription renewals and document tasks for billing.
• Prepares schedules, charts and documents for clinical activities; procures medical correspondence as directed.
• Monitors waiting area and acts as liaison to ensure smooth flow and service delivery.
