Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support high-quality clinical care in a busy primary care setting. You will take patient vital signs, document medical histories in the EMR, and assist providers with daily needs to keep visits on schedule.

You will coordinate with the clinical team, ensure exam rooms are prepared, assist with patient forms, and contribute to patient satisfaction and provider efficiency. BLS within 90 days and MA certification are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required, and:
• Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant program OR
• 5 years experience working as an MA
• Certification required upon hire and maintained if not a graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Take patient vital signs and document medical history in the EMR.
• Assist providers with daily needs and schedule coordination to keep visits on time.
• Organize workflow, ensure exam rooms are stocked, and support patient forms completion.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to enhance patient satisfaction and provider efficiency.
• Deliver empathetic, safe care in collaboration with physicians and ambulatory staff.
