Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the Carle Place team. You will support physicians and nurses by completing assigned patient care tasks, maintain patient flow, and assist in procedures with a compassionate approach.

Qualifications

• Must have high school or equivalent; graduate of MA program or 2 years MA experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Basic knowledge of computers and medical software.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses in patient care and family support.
• Maintain patient flow and assist in exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Record vital signs, weights, EKGs; assist with phlebotomy and chart preparation.
• Assist with procedures and prepare rooms; ensure cleanliness and comfort.
• Support with patient charges and scheduling; stock supplies; may train new MAs.
