Jersey Community Hospital seeks a Medical Assistant to support patient care under physician direction. You will greet patients, schedule appointments, take vitals, update histories, and assist with exams and procedures while maintaining confidentiality and a positive patient experience.

You will administer medications, provide immunizations, and help with documentation in the medical record, ensuring high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant certification required. Registration is preferred.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Related experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with computer systems and electronic medical records.

Aufgaben

• Greet patients, schedule appointments, manage incoming calls, verify patient information, and collect payments.
• Obtain and record vital signs including blood pressure, weight, height, heart rate, temperature, respiration, and O2 saturation.
• Update patient medical history, including weight changes, surgeries, current medications, diagnoses, allergies, family medical history, births, and deaths.
• Apply the nursing process—assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation—addressing physical and psychosocial patient needs, within scope and standards of care.
• Perform general nursing care such as administering medications and treatments, providing immunizations, wound care, and assisting with clinical procedures under physician supervision.
• Prepare for and assist with clinical procedures, including instrument preparation, specimen labeling, wound care, suture removal, and immunizations.
