Job summary

Patient First seeks an attentive Healthcare Assistant to support clinical teams at our Missouri centers. You will help identify patient needs, document vital signs, and prepare patients for medical evaluations by Physicians and Nurses.

You may perform phlebotomy and basic lab duties as part of a collaborative care team. The role requires at least a high school diploma and the ability to stand and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.
• Ability to hear pages, bells and phone system; sit/stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Locate patients and obtain vital signs by visual and auditory means.
• Triaging patients and preparing them for exams with Physicians and Nurses.
• Order lab, x-ray, and medical supplies as directed.
• Assist Nurses and Physicians with patient care and treatment.
• Perform phlebotomy and basic lab duties as assigned.
• Sterilize and set up instruments; restock treatment rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness of the treatment area per OSHA guidelines.
• Attend staff meetings and operate medical and office equipment as trained.
