Job summary

Talentify seeks a patient-focused para-professional to assist medical providers with examinations and to perform phlebotomy duties in our health centers. The role includes intake, vital signs, room setup, and medical records management, with a focus on accurate documentation and patient service.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and one year of related experience; completion of an approved medical assistant program or equivalent OASAS clinic experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with one year of experience assisting with medical treatment or examining patients, including phlebotomy.
• Completion of a medical assistant program or state-licensed school preferred as a substitution for the required experience.
• Experience in an OASAS clinic setting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Interview clients to obtain medical history and record information in charts; assist with forms and applications for services.
• Take blood pressure and pulse, test urine specimens, draw blood, and measure height, weight, and vision for physicals.
• Set up exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and provide patient support such as answering phones, scheduling, and coordinating insurance.
• Maintain records and prepare reports in accordance with policies; follow oral and written instructions.
