Job summary

Advocate Health’s Cabarrus Family Medicine Locust clinic seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinicians with patient care and clerical tasks. You will interview patients, record vitals, and maintain records, while also preparing medications as directed.

Responsibilities include performing CLIA-waived tests, updating patient information, and serving as an EMR super user to streamline care. Eligible for sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or DD214 military training in lieu of MA program.
• Experience with EMR systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and clinicians with patient care and administrative tasks.
• Interview and record patient information and vital signs.
• Update health maintenance and allergy information at visits.
• Perform CLIA-waived tests and point-of-care testing per standing orders.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician.
• Serve as EMR super user and train staff as needed.
