Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Cabarrus Family Medicine location in Locust, NC. This full-time role is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7am-5pm with a variable day off.

The pay range is $22.90 to $34.35 per hour, and benefits are eligible. You will perform rooming, vital signs, history taking, medication reconciliation, basic lab duties, vaccines, and support to providers while maintaining patient safety and privacy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or structured military training in lieu of a formal program.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vital signs, history, health maintenance, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties including venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT, and waived tests.
• Administers medications and vaccines.
• Handles refills, authorizations, scheduling, referrals.
• Maintains cleanliness and equipment readiness.
• May train other teammates.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate patient care and growth/development concepts.
