Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for 01120 GCMG One Health: Mocksville - Family Medicine. The role supports patient intake, vital signs, medication reconciliation, and health maintenance under the supervision of providers.

Responsibilities include assisting with procedures, venipuncture, CLIA-waived lab tests, medication administration, patient education, and coordinating referrals. Must complete MA program and hold CPR/BLS as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or military clinical training per DD214 in lieu of formal program.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows department policies.
• Performs vitals, med reconciliation, medical history, screenings, and health maintenance.
• Assists or performs procedures as ordered by the provider.
• Performs lab duties including venipuncture, specimen labeling, and POCT per standing orders.
• Administers medications and vaccines per rights of administration.
• Manages tasks like refills, authorizations, messaging, and scheduling.
• Maintains clean environment and ensures equipment is stocked and functional.
