Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program with certificate, or 1–3 years experience as a medical assistant, EMT, or CNA, or successful completion of Northwell Health Medical Assistant training.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with health care team to coordinate and implement patient care plans.
• Perform vital signs, measurements, and basic screenings and document findings.
• Collect specimens and assist with procedures using standard infection control; prepare requisitions and label samples.
• Perform daily controls/calibration of lab equipment and report inaccuracies.
• Perform ECGs and phlebotomy per orders and adhere to infection control standards.
• Assist physicians and nurses with procedures, prepare supplies, and support patient comfort.
• Maintain clean examination rooms and stock supplies; manage logs and equipment checks.
• Handle clerical tasks to ensure efficient patient flow through the suite.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Medical Assistant training program certificate OR 1-3 years experience as MA/EMT/CNA
