Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program with certificate OR 1–3 years experience as a medical assistant, EMT or certified nursing attendant.
• The salary range is a good faith determination of potential base compensation and may be modified in the future.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with health care team to coordinate and implement patient care plans; may record reason for visit and related information for practitioner review.
• Performs vital signs, measurements, and screening procedures; documents findings in the medical record.
• Collects and assists in collection of specimens per standard procedure; labels, requisitions and routes specimens accordingly.
• Performs daily controls and calibration of laboratory equipment; reports any inaccuracies to supervisor.
• Performs ECGs and phlebotomy per provider orders; adheres to infection control standards.
• Assists physicians and nurses with procedures and examinations following infection control protocols; prepares supplies and assists patient.
• Maintains exam room cleanliness, stocks supplies, and logs (refrigerator, eyewash, AED, etc.).
• May assist with pre-visit chart preparation and处理 of reports for practitioner review.
• Performs related clerical duties such as filing medical records, processing insurance forms, and ensuring efficient patient flow.
