Job summary

Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to support office and lab procedures, ensure smooth patient flow, and assist physicians with patient care. You will perform phlebotomy, injections, specimen handling and front-desk registration, while maintaining a clean exam area and accurate charting.

The role requires high school diploma or GED and strong patient-facing communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills.
• May work at multiple BVMP Practices as needed.
• Ability to cross-train to other positions within the practice.
• Adhere to BVHS privacy policies and procedures.
• Provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served.
• Interpret information to identify patient requirements and needs.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily patient and provider flow.
• Assist Physician with patient care as required.
• Ensure exam rooms are prepared and set up clinical areas.
• Follow directions from the provider and leadership.
• Conduct phlebotomy and point of care testing as needed.
• Accurately complete the registration process.
• Document charting accurately.
• Use clinical and clerical skills effectively.
• Enhance patient experience and uphold organizational values.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
