Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support multiple Charlotte-area clinics. You will perform patient rooming, intake, vital signs, and health maintenance tasks while assisting providers with procedures and coordinating referrals and medication management.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent clinical military training may be accepted.
• Experience in using EMR/EHR systems and assisting in clinic operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follow all policies.
• Perform rooming tasks: vital signs, history, screenings, and health maintenance.
• Assist providers with procedures and lab tasks including venipuncture and specimen handling.
• Administer medications and vaccines per policies.
• Coordinate referrals, scheduling, and insurance authorizations.
