Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• Certification from a nationally recognized MA certifying organization.
• Working knowledge of EPIC or similar EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examination.
• Measure and record vital signs; obtain and process blood samples as per policy.
• Assist physicians and nurses and transcribe visit details into EPIC.
• Support patient intake, scheduling, and data entry tasks.
• Maintain infection control standards and clean exam rooms after visits.
• Answer phone calls and manage inbasket messages; coordinate referrals and refills.
• Provide patient education and ensure patient privacy per HIPAA.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and service quality.
