Job summary

NYU Langone Health Florida is seeking a Medical Assistant (FGP) for a new site opening in West Palm Beach. The role supports physicians and nurses by preparing patients, taking vital signs, drawing blood, and handling routine lab collection while performing essential administrative duties in EPIC.

Responsibilities include patient transport, room preparation, specimen handling, appointment scheduling, and effective communication with providers and staff to ensure quality patient care and service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or possession of a recognized MA certification.
• Competent English communication skills; other languages are a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for evaluation.
• Measure and record vital signs; collect specimens as needed.
• Assist physicians/APPs and nurses in patient care and documentation in EPIC.
• Handle administrative tasks: scheduling, phone calls, data entry, and inbasket management.
• Maintain infection control standards and clean/stock exam rooms.
