Job summary

CentroMed is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians with examinations, administer medications and immunizations, and maintain lab duties across multiple Centro Del Barrio sites around San Antonio and New Braunfels. The role emphasizes patient care, infection control, and collaboration with nursing leadership.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or equivalent, completion of a Medical Assisting Program, and a preference for 6 months of clinic or hospital experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Medical Assisting Program required.
• 6 months clinic or hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with physical examinations and nursing procedures.
• Administer patient immunizations following protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by provider.
• Maintain lab duties including quality checks and documentation.
• Travel to other Centro Del Barrio sites to perform duties.
• Assist LVN Nurse Supervisor and manage supply inventory.
• Perform venipuncture as ordered by provider.
• Follow infection control and safety policies.
