Weil Foot & Ankle Institute in Suffolk, VA, seeks a Medical Assistant to support the physician, take vital signs, prepare rooms, and assist with in-office procedures. You will also help schedule follow-ups and manage patient flow across Harbour View and Hillpoint locations.

This role requires MA certification if possible, a HS diploma, strong communication, and basic computer skills. Travel between sites is expected; cross-training for front desk may occur; patient-centered care is a core focus.

Qualificações

• Medical Assistant certification is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; higher education a plus.
• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work unsupervised.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of basic medical procedures such as wound care.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Excellent organizational and clerical abilities for patient files and office duties.
• Customer service skills and attention to safety and sanitation.

Responsabilidades

• Interview patients to gather medical history and update records.
• Gather basic vital signs (temperature, BP, height, weight, pulse).
• Prepare treatment rooms and get patients ready for exams.
• Sterilize instruments and set up procedure trays.
• Order and manage medical supplies in coordination with leadership.
• Take x-rays.
• Cross-train to cover front desk as needed.
• Support physician and team in patient care activities.
