BMCHS is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Primary Care Clinic in Boston. You will support both clinical and administrative tasks, under supervision, to assist in patient care and efficient clinic operations. The position is full-time in an ambulatory setting.

Responsibilities include registration support, scheduling, data collection, and basic clinical procedures, with emphasis on accurate documentation and patient-centered care. Prior MA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Work requires HS diploma or GED plus at least one of the following: certified medical assistant program or equivalent.
• Two years of previous work experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math and quantitative measurements.

Responsabilités

• Gathers patient information for registration and schedules appointments.
• Assists in patient care under supervision of licensed Nurse or Provider.
• Maintains accurate data entry and updates in the medical records system.
• Ensures patient flow and timely communication of wait times.
• Performs clerical duties including billing, referrals, and chart review.
