Job summary

Community Health Systems in Crestview, FL is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support patient care. Qualifications include completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred) and 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice or externship.

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school preferred
• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program required

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with non-invasive medical procedures; take vital signs.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms before patient visits and clinical procedures.
• Handle patient intake duties, including reporting test results and triage by phone.
• Review and maintain daily logs and documentation.
• Support administrative duties: pre-registering patients, scheduling, referrals, and verifying insurance eligibility.
• Maintain organized workload; provide prompt, courteous service to providers, patients, and visitors.
• Monitor and requisition supplies and equipment to ensure inventory levels.
• Educate patients on medications, diets, and health topics; address questions.
• Perform other duties as assigned; maintain regular attendance; comply with policies.
