Job summary

CGH Medical Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and nursing staff in a clinic setting. You will assist with patient preparation, documentation, scheduling, referrals, and basic care under supervision.

The role requires current MA certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) and BLS within 30 days of hire; prior MA experience and phlebotomy/EKG skills are a plus. A strong emphasis on patient comfort and accurate charting is essential.

Qualifications

• Current MA certification CMA, RMA, or NCMA required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care under supervision of Physician or RN.
• Assists in preparing patients to see the physician.
• Schedules patient appointments and referrals as directed by physician; performs receptionist duties as needed.
• Instructs patient and family regarding medication and treatment directions.
• Charts patient care details and ensures provider signs off.
