Job summary

GBMC HealthCare seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians in an office setting, performing phlebotomy, EKGs, vital signs and routine patient care. You will manage supplies, assist with pre-visit planning, and maintain EMR documentation to support high-quality care.

The role requires a related MA certificate or HS/GED with training, plus 5 years of experience and CMA certification. BLS CPR and strong communication are preferred for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent OR MA certificate from a recognized program.
• National CMA certification preferred.
• BLS CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care (vital signs, phlebotomy, EKG, medication administration).
• Maintain supplies and organize pre-visit planning and population management support.
• Assist with patient questions and ensure accurate EMR documentation.
• Lead inventory and manage vaccine and medication stock.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of exam rooms and equipment.
