Job summary

CGH Medical Center is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support physicians and nursing staff in a busy clinic. The role involves preparing patients, charting notes, scheduling, and basic reception duties while ensuring accuracy and safety in patient care.

Ideal candidates hold MA certification (CMA/RMA/NCMA) and are BLS certified or willing to obtain it within 30 days. Experience with phlebotomy and EKG placement is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant credentials required (CMA, RMA or NCMA).
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Basic computer knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care functions under supervision of physician or nurse.
• Assist in preparing patients for examination and document care accurately.
• Schedule appointments and referrals, and perform receptionist duties as needed.
• Instruct patients regarding medications and treatment directions.
• Place EKG leads and draw basic labs as needed.
