Northwest Physicians Group in Amarillo, TX, is hiring a Medical Assistant to support physicians in examination and treatment of patients. You will interview patients, take vital signs, perform venipuncture, and document in the electronic medical record according to IPM guidelines.

You will prepare treatment rooms, assist in covering the front desk, and uphold high standards of patient care. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred, with a certificate and BLS required upon hire.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant certificate required or must obtain certification within six months of employment.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire or within 30 days and maintain certification.
• Familiarity with medical terminology required.
• Experience with patient check-in and check-out is preferred per clinic protocol.
• Proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in examination and treatment of patients under physician direction.
• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height).
• Perform venipuncture and procedures as directed by physician.
• Document in Electronic Medical Record per IPM guidelines.
• Prepare treatment rooms and cover front desk as needed.
