Job summary

Elliot Health System is seeking Medical Assistants (MA I/II) for Elliot Family Medicine at Hooksett, NH. This full-time role supports providers, performs rooming, vital signs, specimen handling, and basic testing, with a focus on patient care and safety.

The position offers day shifts (Mon-Fri, 8 am–5 pm) with a pathway to CMA/RMA certification and opportunities for tuition reimbursement and competitive pay within a collaborative primary care setting.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required and one of: accredited MA program graduate, externship, or 1 year relevant healthcare experience with formal training.
• 1 year of relevant healthcare experience; 1-2 years in ambulatory care preferred.
• CMA, RMA or CCMA certification preferred; BLS authorization within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares visit charts based on daily appointments with test results and reports.
• Rooms patients for provider visits per documented criteria and records vitals and history.
• Obtains and documents vital signs, height, weight, and health measurements.
• Performs hearing, vision, respiratory tests and ECG.
• Conducts screening per condition/need (e.g., depression, asthma).
• Assists with specimen collection and processing; performs point-of-care testing.
• Performs venipuncture as needed and processes specimens.
• Administers medications and immunizations as appropriate.
• Handles medication refills and prior authorizations per guidelines.
