Job summary

Elliot Health System in New Hampshire seeks a Medical Assistant I/II to support providers in ambulatory care settings. You will assist with exams, rooming, vital signs, specimen collection, injections, and documentation to ensure efficient patient flow.

Requirements include HS Diploma or GED, MA program completion or externship, 1 year healthcare experience; CMA/RMA/CCMA preferred; BLS within 90 days. Day shift, Monday–Friday, full-time benefits offered.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; MA program graduate or externship preferred.
• 1 year of relevant healthcare experience; ambulatory care experience preferred.
• CMA, RMA or CCMA certification preferred; BLS required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers in patient care, including examinations, procedures and dressings.
• Perform visit chart prep with test results and reports for provider access.
• Room patients, document chief complaint, vitals, meds and tobacco history.
• Obtain measurements (vital signs, height, weight, head circumference, peak flow).
• Conduct hearing/vision/respiratory/ECG testing and screenings as needed.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing following policies.
• Administer medications/immunizations and assist with refills per guidelines.
• Process prior authorizations and manage clinical supplies and samples.

Education

HS Diploma or GED

Graduate from MA Program or MA Training Program with externship

1 year healthcare experience

CMA/RMA/CCMA preferred
