Job summary

Elliot Health System is seeking Medical Assistants to support clinicians in an ambulatory care setting in Manchester, NH. The role involves assisting with patient care, performing examinations, rooming patients, taking vital signs, and documenting in the medical record.

The MA I/II position requires HS Diploma or GED with accredited MA training or related healthcare experience, CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred, and BLS within 90 days. Day shift, Monday to Friday, full-time.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required and one of the following: graduate from an accredited MA program, graduate from an MA training program with externship, 1 year of relevant healthcare experience with formal training, or 1 year of prior MA experience.
• MA II requires at least 3 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant.
• CMA, RMA or CCMA certification and BLS authorization within 90 days are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration of patient care and examinations.
• Perform rooming, vital signs, and documentation in medical records.
• Obtain and process specimens; perform point of care testing and venipuncture as needed.
• Administer medications and immunizations per guidelines.
• Handle prior authorizations and manage clinical supplies.
