Job summary

Elliot Health System in Manchester, NH, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers in patient care, rooming, specimen collection, immunizations, and related MA duties in a busy clinical area.

Role requires completion of an MA program or equivalent training, BLS within 90 days, CMA/RMA/CCMA preferred, and 1–3 years of healthcare experience depending on level. Full-time with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required for MA I/II.
• Graduation from an accredited MA program or externship-based program.
• CMA, RMA or CCMA preferred; BLS required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and maintains patient records and visit summaries.
• Performs rooming including vitals, chief complaint, and relevant history.
• Administers medications and immunizations as appropriate.
• Collects specimens and performs point-of-care testing.
• Performs venipuncture and processing of specimens.
• Handles medication refills and prior authorizations per guidelines.

Education

HS Diploma or GED (MA I)

Graduated from an MA Program or MA Training Program

CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred
