Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the primary care patient care delivery team. You will provide delegated direct patient care under clinician direction, collect data, measure vitals, coordinate tests, and assist with phlebotomy as indicated.

Qualifications

• Experience in an office or clinic setting.
• Knowledge of patient care techniques and safety standards.
• Active certifications listed or eligible in Kansas.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to promote health.
• Assist with data collection: vitals, weight, ADLs.
• Report changes to nurse or provider in a timely manner.
• Maintain infection prevention and standard precautions in patient rooms.
• Mentor new Medical Assistants and support student learning.
• Engage in lifelong learning and participate in process improvements.
