Job summary

Lake Charles Memorial Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide provider support and comprehensive direct care under supervision. The role supports the Practice Director and Nurse Manager, ensuring standardized care, proper documentation, and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities include patient intake, exam room setup, vital sign recording, patient education, and clinic room maintenance. CPR is required; MA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Receives patient from the waiting room and escorts to exam room.
• Obtains and records intake information in the patient record and adheres to documentation requirements.
• Records vital information and reports to the provider as needed.
• Prepares patient and provider with setup and cleanup of procedures.
• Assists with patient education in conjunction with the provider.
• Performs inventory and maintains exam room supplies.
• Ensures cleaning of clinic areas and assists with maintenance as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
