Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program, preferred.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant, preferred.
• CPR certification, required.
• Experience providing administrative duties and clinical care in a physician practice or ambulatory clinic setting, preferred.
• Computer literacy, required.

Responsibilities

• Receives patient from the waiting room and escorts to the exam room.
• Obtains and records intake information in the patient medical record and chart.
• Records patient lab values and reports pertinent information to the provider.
• Prepares patient and provider with setup and cleanup of procedures.
• Observes universal precautions and aseptic techniques with patient and equipment.
• Able to perform administrative duties.
• Assists with patient education in conjunction with the provider.
• Inventories exam rooms and restocks supplies.
• Assists with daily cleaning of exam rooms and clinic areas.
