The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant for the Westwood Medical Pavilion in Westwood, KS. The role supports efficient patient flow, prepares patients for visits, and assists clinicians with basic procedures in a fast-paced care setting.

Responsibilities include scheduling tests, maintaining records, handling clerical tasks, and ensuring supply and equipment readiness. This position emphasizes customer service and cultural sensitivity in care delivery.

Formación

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or at least one year as a Medical Assistant or CCMA or NCRMA certification.

Responsabilidades

• Schedules tests, obtains films and reports, and prepares laboratory specimens.
• Assists physicians and/or nurses with procedures and examinations as defined on competency checklist.
• Coordinates with the health care team to plan patient care and may record portions of patient history for review.
• Electronically submits, calls and/or faxes prescriptions and refills to outpatient pharmacies.
• Ensures data collected for completed procedures is recorded in medical records and forms.
