Job summary

FMOL Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in patient care, record vital signs, collect specimens, and assist with procedures. The role requires clinic experience or completion of a medical assistant program, with strong computer literacy and proficiency in MS Outlook and EHR systems.

You will coordinate patient flow, schedule tests and referrals, and communicate results to patients and families while ensuring HIPAA compliance and high-quality care under supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience: Completion of a medical assistant program or 1 year experience in a clinical capacity.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Special Skills: Computer literate; skilled in MS Outlook, electronic health records and other software programs.
• Licensure/Certification: BLS Required

Responsibilities

• Identify patients and verify name and DOB prior to interactions.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant confidentiality of patient information.
• Document visit notes including chief complaint, medical history, vitals, and allergies.
• Administer waived tests, record results, and coordinate with physicians.
• Prepare, stock, and clean exam rooms and maintain supplies.
• Administer medications per orders and clinic policies.
• Assist physicians with minor procedures and specimen handling.
• Coordinate patient flow, tests, referrals, and appointment scheduling.
• Communicate test results and care changes to patients and families within 48 hours.
