Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in New Hampshire is seeking Medical Assistants to support practices across Hampton, Stratham, Plaistow, Exeter, Epping and Portsmouth. Part-time and full-time positions are available, with supervision by a Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant or Physician.

You will perform clinical duties such as pre-visit work, vital signs, medication reconciliation, preparing exam rooms, and assisting providers.

Qualifications

• CMA/RMA/CCMA certification/registration required or within 6 months of hire
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire
• Experience with pre-visit work and patient workflow is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical duties such as pre-visit work, obtaining vital signs, medication reconciliation, and assisting provider in examinations and/or procedures
• Clean and prepare instruments for sterilization and ensure exam rooms are stocked and ready
• Respond to patient portal messages the same day
• Use standing protocols to complete pre-visit work, close gaps in care, administer vaccines, and handle prescriptions
• Schedule pre-admission and diagnostic testing and follow up with patients after procedures
• Handle daily administrative duties like greeting, scheduling, answering calls, and maintaining patient records
• Maintain core policies, patient confidentiality, quality and safety standards, and participate in daily huddles
• May perform scribing duties and document encounters in the EHR
• Monitor care team metrics and assist with improvements; provide coverage as needed
