Northwestern Medicine seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians, nurses, and staff by ensuring smooth clinic operations and patient flow. You will assist with exams, prepare rooms, and help with basic procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality and a friendly demeanor.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and eligible CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA credentials to be attained within six months. Experience with EMR systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current certification in CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA or eligible; must attain within six months of employment.
• BLS/CPR certification required; certified within organization standards.

Responsabilités

• Ensure efficient patient flow through the site; escort patients, obtain vitals, document visit details and allergies, and communicate with providers.
• Assist practitioners with medical and surgical procedures per protocols (ECG, venipuncture, immunizations, procedure setup, specimen collection, CLIA-waived testing).
• Prepare exam rooms, disinfect and sterilize equipment, maintain inventory, and support opening/closing procedures.
