Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Current Medical Assistant certification or ability to obtain within 180 days of employment.
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers at time of hire or within 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Basic computer literacy with intermediate Excel skills.
• Ability to react calmly in emergencies and strong communication/customer service skills.
• TB screening and vaccination/immunity requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties within Medical Assistant scope of practice under supervision.
• Rooms patients and prepares for examination.
• Records patient care documentation accurately and timely.
• Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians and policies.
• Ensures patient confidentiality and infection control.
• Maintains exam and treatment rooms and sterilizes equipment.
• Supports Standard Delegation of Orders (SDO).
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
