Job summary

Concord Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers, take vital signs, and assist with examinations and procedures. You will prepare exam rooms and handle routine clinical tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Under supervision, you will document in the EMR, manage patient flow, and help with referrals and clerical duties. A Medical Assistant program is preferred; certification within three years is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program preferred but will accept applicants with healthcare experience.
• Interviews patients and measures vital signs; records information in the EMR.
• Assists provider by preparing patients for examinations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Answers calls and directs patient concerns per guidelines.
• Interviews patients, updates medications and allergies, records in the EMR.
• Prepares treatment rooms, stocks supplies, and cleans areas.
• Assists providers during examinations and procedures.
• Schedules appointments and referrals.
• Maintains and inventories medical supplies and equipment.
• Uses Cerner and GroupWise per established protocols.
