Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program preferred but will accept applicants with healthcare experience.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR/AED.
• Medical assistants are encouraged to obtain certification within the first three years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones following guidelines and identify patient health issues.
• Interview patients, measure vitals, update meds/allergies, and record in EMR.
• Prepare treatment rooms for exams; stock and clean.
• Assist provider during exams and procedures; demonstrate clinical skills.
• Schedule appointments and referrals per guidelines; manage referrals.
