Job summary

Beloit Health System is expanding its Beloit Clinic West Side Clinic with a Medical Assistant on the 1st shift (8a-5p), 36 hours per week. You will support licensed clinicians by rooming patients, taking vital signs, and maintaining electronic medical records while assisting with scheduling and patient forms.

The role requires current CMA/RMA/CCMA certification and CPR within 3 months of hire, with preferred EMR experience and prior Family Practice exposure.

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant at time of employment (CMA, RMA, or CCMA).
• CPR certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records and Family Practice preferred.
• Two years clinical experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient documentation and medical records for appointments.
• Escort patient to room, obtain vitals and update medical record with history and concerns.
• Prepare patient for examination or procedure and ensure consent is documented.
• Assist with examinations, procedures and medications as directed.
• Maintain infection control and ensure patient safety during transport and care.
• Assist with scheduling, patient education, and triage under supervision.
