Job summary

SIHF Alton Center is hiring a Medical Assistant for our Alton, IL site. You will provide direct patient care and support the clinical team, including vitals, room preparation, and assisting providers during exams.

Flexible responsibilities may include tests, injections, and patient communication. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (certification preferred), and current BLS.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program; Certified/Registered preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care and ancillary support as directed by provider or staff.
• Schedule and coordinate patient communications and follow-ups.
• Take vital signs and document results in patient records.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist physicians during exams and procedures.
• Administer injections and perform CLIA-waived tests as directed.
