Job summary

Franklin Primary Health Center, Inc. in Alabama is seeking a Medical Assistant to support Internal Medicine teams under supervision of the Unit Supervisor or Nurse Manager.

You will perform clinical and clerical tasks to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate charting. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, preparing patients, assisting with procedures, handling lab results, maintaining supplies, and supporting front desk and imaging as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program or equivalent training.
• One or more years of medical assisting experience with knowledge of medical terminology and CPT coding.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs, weights, and chief complaints for each visit.
• Assist nurses/providers with procedures and treatments in exam rooms.
• Maintain confidentiality and organize supplies in the work area.
• Prepare and file lab results, and document actions in patient records.
• Support front desk, X-ray, and lab areas as needed and rotate tasks.
