The role requires a High School Diploma, completion of a MA training program, and relevant certifications. A customer-service mindset and teamwork are essential to deliver high-quality care in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a competency-based Medical Assistant training program.
• CMA - AAMA certification (within 120 days) or CCMA/NHA NCMA/NCCT NRCMA/AMT RMA equivalents (within 120 days).
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) within 90–120 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate efficient patient flow and assist providers during visits.
• Maintain and monitor electronic health records and patient information.
• Keep clinical environment clean and equipment functioning; report malfunctions.
• Greet patients and coordinate care with the health care team to ensure continuity of care.
• Collect and report patient data per documentation standards.
• Demonstrate professional ethics, protect patient privacy, and support quality of care.
• Pursue ongoing training and department-specific requirements.
• Assist with examinations, procedures, and medication administration within scope.
