Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical activities, patient flow, and document patient information under the supervision of a licensed professional. You will assist physicians and clinic staff, maintain the electronic health record, and ensure the delivery of high-quality care in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with examinations and procedures, preparing supplies, administering medications within scope, and upholding privacy and security

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a competency-based Medical Assistant training program is required.
• Certifications CMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA/RMA and BLS are required or acceptable alternatives within stated timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates efficient patient flow and prep for visits.
• Assists with examinations, procedures and treatments; ensures supplies are available.
• Documents patient data and maintains electronic health records.
• Maintains environment, cleans work area, and reports equipment issues.
• Greets patients/families with care and respect; supports team communication.
• Complies with privacy, confidentiality and data security standards.

Education

Competency-based Medical Assistant training program

CMA - Certified Medical Assistant

CCMA - Cert. Medical Assistant

NCMA - Cert. Medical Assistant

NRCMA - Cert. Medical Assistant
