Job summary

Naples Comprehensive Health - NCH is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide basic patient care under established standards and collaborate with a team of clinicians in a fast-paced setting.

You will assist with exams, collect specimens, document in the EMR, and support referrals while maintaining patient comfort and safety. Strong communication and computer skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program with practicum hours or MA certification; or 1 year relevant experience.
• BLS certification required from Red Cross or AHA.
• Ability to take accurate vital signs and document them.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD9 codes.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and schedule patients; manage patient flow.
• Escort patients to exam rooms; observe and report reactions.
• Assist with exams, collect specimens, and support procedures.
• Take patient histories and medications; document in EMR.
• Provide care as directed by providers; assist with treatments.
• Document interventions and communicate with patient/family.
• Answer calls/messages; coordinate referrals and scheduling.
• Handle clerical duties including medical records and referrals.
