Job summary

Summit Health in New Jersey is hiring a Medical Assistant (MA) to support physicians, PAs, and NPs by handling clerical tasks, patient flow, and basic procedures. You will prep exam rooms, obtain vitals, document in the EHR, and assist with referrals and scheduling.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited MA program, and BLS (within 30 days). English communication and basic computer skills are essential, with 0–1 year experience preferred and 2–4 years

Qualifications

• English proficiency in speaking and writing is required.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner.
• Basic computer skills required.
• 0-1 year related work experience, required; 2-4 years preferred.
• BLS certification or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares examination room and escorts patient into the room.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and ensures room readiness.
• Documents vitals, allergies and medication list in EHR.
• Answers calls and schedules appointments per guidelines.
• Assists in ordering and stocking supplies; handles PMS/EHR entries.
