Job summary

ELITE DERMATOLOGY in Chicago, Illinois, seeks a detail-oriented medical assistant to support physicians and nurses in administrative and clinical tasks. Responsibilities include preparing and cleaning treatment rooms, obtaining patients' medical histories, recording vital statistics, and assisting during procedures. Ideal candidates will have BLS certification or be certified medical assistants with excellent customer service skills. Proficiency in Apple iPads and a typing speed of 45 WPM are required. Bilingual skills in Spanish or Serbian are a plus, along with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Apple iPads, and must type 45 WPM.
• BLS Certification or Certified Medical Assistant desired.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Bilingual Spanish or Serbian a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations.
• Clean treatment rooms following patient examinations.
• Obtain patient's medical history.
• Record vital statistics and test results in patient medical file.
• Remove sutures, change dressings.
• Stock exam rooms.
• Clean and sterilize medical equipment and instruments and prepare surgical trays.
• Properly dispose of contaminated supplies.
• Assists physicians during examination and procedures.
