Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required within 6 months.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire.
• 1 year medical assistant experience preferred.
• 1 year clerical/customer service experience in healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take patient's vital signs and prepare patients for the provider's care.
• Document all entries in the medical record, including signature, date and time.
• Administer medication under the direct supervision of a licensed physician.
• Observe and report patient signs or symptoms; collect routine laboratory specimens.
• Administer basic first aid.
• Participate in performance improvement projects.
• Collaborate as an active care team member in coordinating patient care.
• Provide excellent customer service for patients, staff and other customers.
• May travel to other clinics under additional duties.
