The Medical Assistant position supports daily health care delivery in the medical office, providing a blend of direct patient care, technical and administrative help to nurses and physicians. Qualifications

• Minimum one year in medical practice or equivalent preferred.
• Graduate of a certified Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care workflow.

Responsabilités

• Notifies physician and staff of missing information for patient encounters.
• Obtains diagnostic reports and discharge records.
• Prepares patient records for visits and ensures completeness.
• Greets patients and assists within scope of responsibility.
• Answers calls promptly and courteously.
• Triages calls for appropriate response.
• Obtains and records patient vital signs.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Assists with E-prescribing and lab specimen processing.
• Coordinates scheduling and patient flow throughout the day.
